Second, CLEARANCE! Need I say more. I love finding items that are reduced for Quick Sale and their clearance section. I think of it as getting a discount without having a coupon and that is awesome. But if you do have a coupon it makes it even better! It's also exciting and fun to see it change and find new things on the rack each week or so.
Third, You do not need to use their digital coupons. I did hear from a local manager that the digital coupons would be of higher value, but I haven't seen that yet. Also, I checked what digital coupons they do have available and they look exactly like the ones available at coupons.com. So if you don't have a text-enabled phone (or just don't text) you can still get the same savings as everyone else.
Fourth, There will still be catalinas available for everyone! Still don't think there is any logic to their catalinas, but it's fun to see what I get back!
So, that's my take on it. I hear a lot of complaints that stores here in Texas don't double or have other reward programs. But we do have K-Mart that doubles, but their prices are way high, so it doesn't make sense to me to shop there. You can still stack coupons at Target and I have some friends that only shop at Target, so that may be another option for you, not to mention CVS and Walgreens. There are also farmer's market where you can get some healthy alternatives at a reasonable price as well.
I'm just excited to see how it will play out, and if the value of the digital coupons go up. If not, then I will probably still sign up for the digital coupons, because that will help me save money on printable coupons. And I'll still have CVS and Walgreens to purchase HBA items and such.

I was happy to read you opinion, it made me feel better, I have heard so much negative. I feel the same as you, lets just see how it goes. Its not like we can change a big company's policy , they have marketing people for that. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm going to continue to shop at H-E-B as well. I continue to save money and love the layout of the store. I know employees that work at my local store so that makes shopping there more enjoyable. I try to avoid shopping for groceries elsewhere and I like more and more of their brands each time I try something new.
ReplyDeleteHi Cinella~ I just wanted to come over and say thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. We don't have an HEB in Washington. At least I have never heard of it and (you might be disappointed) I rarely use coupons. Thankfully, at the store I shop at most frequently, the checkers know me so they always scan the weekly coupons for me.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I hope you have a wonderful day. God bless you.
You're welcome. HEB is a local Texas gorcery store. And that's nice of the cashiers. It's couponing is easily accessible at HEB because they hand their store coupons right next to the items!
